The very plush cinema has big leather arm chairs but I elected to stay in my wheelchair and the staff removed a seat where I wanted to sit and not "where the wheelchair goes". The food was great, the cinema was clean, tidy and comfortable and fully licensed! (not that I had any alcohol... this time)
I'll be going back. Many times.
Now I'm taking a break from writing the next installment of the Blue Jackets, 'The Echo Committee'. I've spent a lot of time writing short stories and Flash Fiction (you have to learn the art somehow) and it feels good to write something longer, flesh the story out more.
On 10th May, I will be giving a talk at Newcastle Central Library around the theme of 'Inspiration and eBooks' It should be a fun night with advice on how to break into the published world and some anecdotes on how I came to write about what I do!
Places are limited and need to be booked to guarantee entry on 0191 277 4100
