When I turned 30 I had a very morose reaction to it. I felt like my life was coming to an end and I was officially "old". The same feelings were beginning to resurface a few days ago but have totally disappeared now. The feelings of dread I experienced a decade ago were totally unfounded and my worries for the years to come are likely to be the same.
Wish me Happy Birthday tomorrow, eh?
Recently I have installed the BOINC Manager to my laptop. This allows you to choose from a list of projects and donate your unused computing power to a project. Currently I am supporting Rosetta@home, the World Community Grid, and FightMalaria@home.
These endeavours are attempting to find solutions to Cancer, Alzeihemers, AIDS and Malaria. They supply quite detailed information to show what is being done - none of which I understand. I also donate to the CleanEnergyProject which is trying to solve the problems of dependence on fossil fuels. If you want to join in, the link is:
On the writing side of things
A new, improved version of The Fallen has gone live. This is an expansion of the Blue Jackets world and an excellent way to get a taste for FREE. Give it a go - it's a blast!
Following the rewrite of The Fallen work on both Thomas and the Missing Sock and the fourth instalment of the Blue Jackets will restart.
